JIanguomen Bridge (建国门桥) is a bridge in eastern central Beijing. It sits on the eastern 2nd Ring Road.

Construction of the bridge took place in the early 1980s.

The bridge connects Jianguomen Inner Street and Jianguomen Outer Street together with the eastern stretch of the 2nd Ring Road.

It is 1,800 metres south of Chaoyangmen Bridge and less than a kilometre north of Dongbianmen Bridge.

Underneath the bridge runs Beijing Subway Line 1 and Beijing Subway Line 2, with a stop at all four edges of the bridge (northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast). The two lines intersect here.

The noticeable Beijing Ancient Observatory sits at the southwest end of the bridge.

Architecture at Jianguomen Bridge

From Jianguomen Bridge it is possible to sample four very different types of architecture in Beijing.

To the northwest is Huarun Tower, built in the early 2000s. The northeast showcases a series of buildings in "Sino-Sov" style from the 1970s.

The southwestern corner of the bridge is home to the Beijing Ancient Observatory. Facing it is the Gloria Plaza Hotel in the southeast, built in the 1980s.
